Diversity is an essential ingredient of everyday life and interaction, an ingredient that should be constant in a setting of continuous growth.

I am dedicated to:
Connecting
  • Building strong coalitions with student groups to advocate social change on campus
  • Connecting various living groups, The Women's Center, Q-Center, and The Ethnic Cultural Center to engage in conversations that address issues of social injustice


Advocating
  • Advocating for the expansion and renovation of the Ethnic Culture Center which would provide resources to student organizations and benefit students across campus
  • Being a strong voice for students who have been historically marginalized because of race, sexual identity, physical ability, gender and/or being a student parent on the University of Washington campus
  • Promote a holistic definition of diversity within the classroom and the Association


Educating
  • Educating the UW community about the purpose the Associated Students of the University of Washington commissions and the various resources that they can provide to all students on campus
  • Creating learning experiences for students by increasing opportunities for increased interaction and event participation
  • Welcoming opportunities for expanding my own base of knowledge and sharing learning experiences with other students
