We have the privilege to attend a progressive, diverse, and accepting university. As a result, we the student body, have a responsibility to ensure every student is welcomed, included, and accepted without regard to color, culture, or creed. I believe this is something the ASUW can accomplish. I will strive for greater communication and involvement of the people groups of our university.

• Continue efforts previously initiated to facilitate cross-commission conversation, understanding, and cooperation.
• Advocate for student forums to combat institutionalized racism, sexism, and homophobia.

Interact

• Dialogue is a good start, but it is not enough. We must actively pursue cross-cultural, cross-ideological interaction beyond the confines of classrooms and meeting halls.
• I will accomplish this by partnering with the Joint Commissions Committee to fund events and projects in an effort to foster growth and community amongst the constituents of the numerous people groups represented at the University of Washington.

Empower

• Partner with the Director of Community relations to expand participation and communication within and without commissions.
• Ensure accountability of diversity in volunteer appointments by the Vice President to promote equal participation.
