The ASUW President has two main functions within the ASUW: representing the students to faculty, administrators, legislators and the public at large, and; acting as leader to the Board of Directors. Specifically, the ASUW President presides at Board of Directors meetings, coordinates projects, and though his/her position on the Board of Regents, the ASUW President can represent student interests on various University issues. By acting as student representative and as liaison between the students and various groups, the ASUW President tries to better the educational experience at the University of Washington.
