Jonathan Spatacean
My vision as Vice President of ASUW is to increase participation in student government, in volunteering, or in other campus involvement such as clubs and student organizations.  It is my goal to make sure that every student has a voice in ASUW and can get the most out of the college experience.

As Vice President of ASUW I am Dedicated to:

Maximize the Potential of ASUW Volunteers.
  • Work with the Director of Community Relations and the Director of Diversity Efforts to insure maximization of our volunteer pool of applicants by appointing and actively pursuing well-qualified students who represent the demographics of the UW.
  • Get students excited to serve as volunteers and empower them to achieve and exceed expectations by providing resources needed to complete goals.
  • Set goals for every volunteer and provide frequent performance feedback to increase self-efficacy and realize individual potential.

Make ASUW Relevant.
  • Become a relevant part of the student life at the UW by stepping outside current boundaries and circles, inviting students formally excluded from the student government process to be a crucial part of ASUW.
  • Work with the Director of Community Relations and Student Senate officers to fill every at-large senate position so that every voice at the UW is represented and heard.
  • Work alongside The Daily to keep students up-to-date on ASUW activities.
  • Use the ASUW website to ensure accountability to the student body by setting up a system where the ASUW weekly relays current issues and allowing for student input and suggestions.
  • Work alongside the Director of Programming and RSOs to proactively increase significance of clubs on campus by employing our resources to set up weekly and well-exposed events to breath life into our campus.
