As ASUW Vice President, I will dedicate myself to maintaining accountability within the organization, but also foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all students and volunteers. Drawing from my previous experiences in the ASUW and IFC, I will serve as a knowledgeable and competent leader to further enhance the student experience. I feel there is a great deal of potential yet to be realized and as VP I will devote myself tirelessly to placing the concerns and needs of the students first. It has been a privilege serving the student body thus far, and here are some of my goals I look forward to accomplishing in the coming year:
Increasing Relevance of the ASUW
Work closely with the Director of Diversity Efforts and Community Relations, as well as student advisors to encourage volunteerism from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
Vigorous recruitment of passionate and talented volunteers dedicated to the beliefs and ideals of serving others for the betterment of the UW community
Enhance the volunteer experience to encourage an active and involved campus for all students to enjoy
Maintain the transparency of ASUW as a student organization adamantly dedicated to students' needs and concerns
Keeping the UW Administration Responsible to Students
Maintaining a healthy student/faculty relationship in order to preserve the unparalleled University of Washington experience
Serving as a liaison between the administration and students in order to facilitate an open dialogue to keep the relationship mutually constructive
Keeping the ASUW Responsible to Students
Maintain the transparency of ASUW as an organization dedicated to students' needs
Unilateral empowerment and cooperation of all ASUW entities
Preserve a fair and unbiased volunteer selection process
Further dedicate the ASUW to serving student needs through its ideals of dependability, resourcefulness, and relevance
